Our Policy

Through education, we bring up “THREE(3) Hearts”.

A Heart that Loves Life and Others

As people feel loved, they find their places in this world and gain the infinite kindness to share with others and strength to pursue any challenge in life . We hope to educate children with affection and cultivate their feeling of consideration towards others .

A Heart that Lives with Nature

As children relate to things around them, their interests and curiosity are stimulated, introduces them to a deeper and wider world. Japan, which is rich in natural beauty with the four seasons, provides children  the  unique environment in every  season . The environment  sets for them the  features of Japan for the hearts full of love for nature and relaxing atmosphere.

A Heart that is Full of Imagination

We consider children’s feelings and discover their interests and curiosities, then extend their abilities to study and express ideas. Children are gifted with free imagination and innate expression. They have heart to imagine and create beautiful images on their own,  that can  open what’s in store for the  future.  We lead children to the other side of the question “What is it?” and develop their hearts to explore more.

We describe the core of our Vision and Sense of values symbolized with “3 hearts”  that  function as  one and interrelated with each other is cherished and   treasured and as Lemonkai’s Educational philosophy.

Our Sense of Values

The understanding, which members of our staff must share for the realization of the company vision.

Four(4) Core values

Based on educational values, , Early Childhood Education can be illustrated in different views  First,  to start and reach the same direction, all  staff members must share the sense of values and educational commitment of Lemonkai.

What is the child?

Do children grow up by themselves? Or are they brought by others?

Children have innate potentials for growth. Through play , they naturally and freely developed and ,  are able to expand their world. Furthermore, interacting  with adults, children increase their capabilities in four aspects: physical, mental, social and emotional areas of development. Exposure of children at a very age to society provides opportunities to acquire  essential life skills.

What is learning?

Is Early childhood learning all about play? Or is it a preparation for elementary schooling?

Learning in Early Childhood is honing the abilities to gain more experiences through play and as relate to others in  daily life. The individual and group play feed the answers to their curiosities such as “I want to try” ”What is it” and the connection with friends and others will make the range of their play wider and deeper.
They never judge whether can or cannot do the activity  but just give a try. We can find learning in that childlike positive attitude in them.

What is playing?

Is it fine to just play around?

Play comes naturally for children as they  develop physically, mentally and emotionally. Children are naturally curious, adventurous and like to explore and experience the world around them as well as relate with different people through play, movement and exploration of the environment. This  process allows children to be free and happy alongside with the guidance of responsible adults.

What is expression?

How do we understand and interpret children’s expressions?

Expression means any form of communication (i.e. words, shapes, colors, actions) children make with their imagination and when encountering new experiences. By expressing themselves, children experience and realize free and creative expression.

Furthermore, they can create new ideas and expressions once their inquiring minds are stimulated through new experiences. Free expression helps in children’s development and enables children to find pleasure in learning.

Quality Education

What is Quality Education?

What kind of education is “QUALITY  education”?” The answer to this question differs in every individual person’s interpretations. Can we define  education in different angles?
In Lemon-kai  “Quality Education” is conceptualized in four (4) perspectives.

High quality “learning”

The company considers the instruction and learning process as high-quality if “shared” and not one-sided process. The child-minder’s top  priority is the children’s growth and welfare. He or she should guide the children into situations that let them cultivate friendships with other children, pursue their interests with love  and learn about the world around them so they  holistically developed. High-quality instruction means that children are provided with opportunities to maximize the inner potentials and enjoy the varied learning activities as they interact with others.

High quality “childcare”

Quality child-care affords learners  to equip them   life skills for daily routines as well as receive the care and affection they need through their relationship with the child-minders who  must understand their individual differences while aiding the continuous flow of development. Children can learn compassion and kindness through their warm and open relationships with their friends and the adults around them.

High quality “environment”

A high-quality learning/school environment is an environment where children’s interests are stimulated in a fun and educational way. There should varied learning materials, places and situations that provide meaningful and deepening experiences for mind setting. These materials, places and situations should also be tailored to aid in the children’s development and match their interests as well. Moreover, a high-quality learning/school environment provides adequate space for children to  freely and quietly play and enjoy being just children. It will  also provides educational  materials (i.e. toys, picture books, etc.) that children can freely use. Lastly, a high-quality learning/school environment should be secure, safe, aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, educationally oriented and child conscious.

High quality “educator”

A qualified child-minder imbibes the  duty as a role model for the children and considers them as his or her top priority while acting with  understanding of the company and school’s policies. A qualified child-minder uses the appropriate professional knowledge and techniques to facilitate  the children’s learning. A qualified child-minder has understanding of children’s varied actions in class and recognizes that these actions have their reasons. The child-minder should focus on finding the reasons for such actions and use them as an opportunity for better learning.

A qualified child-minder creates a learning environment conducive for child’s cognitive , physical, social  and emotional development .A qualified child-minder work does not end with the children but also shares the joy of childcare with the parents and help them remedy  apprehensions encountered in  child-rearing.
A qualified child-minder pursues all avenues to improve and acquire professional knowledge and techniques to keep the utmost ability to care for children.

Connecting childcare education

Childcare education’s highest priority is the Child, not the educator. From the experts’ point of view, we acknowledge children’s questions such as “I want to try” and “What is it?” and develop these curiosities to better learning opportunities . Children enhance their capacity to learn  by connecting play to  the world outside.

Basic life skills and everyday experiences

Hand washing, taking meals, excretions, wearing and taking off clothes and sleeping are basic life skills and through these  experiences they gain insights about the world around them, like taking care of animals and plants, cooking, cleaning themselves and helping others.
